Have you recently been tired or even exhausted lately? Have you not been able to wake up in the morning or felt like you needed a nap during the day? You are not alone!

I feel compelled to write about this as I have had almost every person I spoke with last week tell me how tired they were. I have had people ask me if they were depressed, had issues with thyroid or even mono. The common theme has been fatigue and/or shaky emotional states. Don’t rush to the doctor just yet, and don’t read into your symptoms.

This fatigue that people have been feeling is two-fold; it is partly due to the realignment of our energy since the earthquake. The Japan earthquake moved the coast of Japan 8 FEET and moved the earth 4 inches off its axis.  As our earth realigns itself everything on it must also realign itself to the earth’s energy. We must remember that everything is energy and everything finds its balance when out of balance. Our energetic bodies have been thrown out of balance and are now in a realignment process with the earth. This is very tiring on us and creates fatigue. Honor that your body is tired and get extra sleep during this time.

Another reason for fatigue is the tremendous fear in our atmosphere. Please read last week’s post for more on this. But the combination of fear and the realignment process both create fatigue and even exhaustion.

What do we do about it?

  1. Honor it. Allow yourself extra sleep. Help your body to realign by not overdoing it when you feel tired.
  2. Do grounding exercises and spend time outside on the earth. If possible, get your feet right on the earth if you can, make direct contact.
  3. Take trace minerals. This will not only help ground but help balance our electrical systems and realign with the earth’s electrical system.

The fatigue will subside. It will just take a bit of time. Performing the above will help speed the process of realignment. Please also read last week’s post for more information on this. Above all, remember like everything this too is temporary.

In addition to meditation, I use a variety of breathing techniques that create a balanced state. One of them that I love is “Pulling in Light.”

Here’s how to do it:

Imagine a round ball of light (like a disco ball)  about 2 feet above your head.

Take a deep breath in and imagine from the disco ball, light coming down through the ball in through the crown of the head and into the body. Imagine the light being any color that comes to mind OR a golden or white light. This light rests first in the heart then after filling up the heart center and lung area, it moves down with every inhalation, filling up the solar plexus (3rd chakra area -above the naval), then the 2nd chakra, (below the belly button)  and eventually the light pulls into the ground roots us on the earth. See the roots shooting from the bottom of your feet into the earth.

Next, imagine the light coming down through your crown and resting  in the throat area and now  filling this area up. Next, pull the light into the  6th chakra/3rd eye (between the brows) and lastly, imagine the light coming into the top of the head (crown) and then shooting back up to the heavens.

Continue to breath in the light and go back to the heart center, watching it in your minds eye, expanding out and eventually filling up the entire room. There is no time requirement to do this. 1 minute would be of benefit if you don’t do any other  intentional breathing, but doing this for 5 minutes minimally would be ideal.

This breathing exercise pulls an abundance of universal light into your body which promotes healing on all levels of your being (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual). It is also extremely relaxing and centering. You may see colors and that’s fine. You cannot get this wrong, only right, which leads to total relaxation….

We all have our bad days. Many times when we are having a bad day we reach for potato chips, ice cream, alcohol or another vice that (temporarily) makes us feel better.     Smiling young woman with vegetables and fruits

When we get tripped up and fall into a bad day one idea to get us back into balance is food. Before we go on an eating binge, hang on, there are certain types of foods to help us back to happiness.

Let’s take a look at the nuts and bolts behind this theory. There are two ideas to examine:

1.  Negative thoughts and emotions carry an energetic vibration that is very low (feels heavy), versus happy thoughts and emotions which carry a much higher vibration (feels lighter).

2. The law of attraction teaches us that “like attracts like.”

So we can conclude that when we are feeling down, we crave something that has a similar vibrational match to our mood, like the vibration of candy bars, potato chips, ice cream or something similar.

One solution to help lift us out of our sadness is to choose foods with a higher vibration. If we are eating foods with a higher vibration then (because of law of attraction) we could begin to feel better.

Foods with the highest vibration are “live” (or uncooked) like raw fruits and vegetables.

Sometimes when we feel the need to be comforted, an alternative choice are foods that are warm like soups, stews or steamed vegetables. These foods are cooked but still hold a higher vibration (because of the vegetables) than fried or sugary sweets.

So the next time you feel you need an emotional boost, eat your fruits and veggies. They help to your energy to vibrate higher, in your heart, the same place happiness resides.
